Our name is inspired by the Steve Jobs’ quote, “It’s more fun to be a pirate than join the navy” - being fast, nimble and unencumbered by bureaucracy. That’s why we prefer to work for clients that have a Challenger Brand mentality.
Piracy was set-up in 2008 by Martin Ballantine, ex-founder of Revolver Communications - a PR agency that created stand-out campaigns for the likes of Ben & Jerry’s, Red Stripe, Virgin Money, Green & Blacks and cult 60s TV show, Thunderbirds.
